Home Tale Laya is an intimate boutique lodge located in the highland village of Laya (Nyelu Village)—one of Bhutan’s most remote and authentic settlements. Built with great care using local stone and wood, the lodge blends traditional Bhutanese architecture with understated modern comfort.

Run by a Layap family, Home Tale Laya is more than just a place to stay—it offers a genuine insight into the life, values, and daily rhythms of the highland community. After walks through alpine landscapes and yak pastures, the lodge provides a warm retreat with a cozy dining area, personal service, and an atmosphere of calm and togetherness.

The kitchen serves simple, honest meals under a MAP plan (breakfast and dinner), prepared with local ingredients. The experience can be enriched with optional village encounters, local activities, and soothing massages, particularly appreciated after high-altitude walks.
